Apple’s latest venture – the iPhone X is considered to be the smartphone of the moment because of its innovative features but the latest leak reveals something unbelievable that Apple considers to cancel iPhone X soon.

We are talking about a new report published by AppleInsider that refers to Ming-Chi Kuo, acclaimed KGI Securities’ analyst, who says that the disappointing sales of the iPhone X will lead to the cancellation of the model with production ceasing in the summer. If this happens, it would be the very first time that Apple cancels an iPhone model after just one generation since the iPhone 5C in 2014.

Kuo claims that disinterest in China may be the main reason because Chinese consumers like big screens and consider iPhone X’s notch as removing too much usable space; especially when the cheaper iPhone 8 Plus actually delivers slightly more.

Likewise, a new survey conducted by Cowen also claims that the interest in new iPhone models has hit an historic low. Moreover, Apple had three premium models (iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X) on sale for the first time resulting in less hype that associates with the iPhone in general.

iPhone Models of 2017

If summer to be considered as the deadline, the iPhone X is expected to have sales of 62 million units; significantly lower than the 80 million estimated earlier. Moreover, Apple is expected to ship 18 million units of the most expensive smartphone of the history in the first quarter of 2018; lower than somewhere between 20 and 30 million initially expected.

The iPhone X will be remembered as all-time trendsetter as the technology introduced with it is likely to continue for next generation of iPhones as well. For the current year, Apple is expected to unveil three separate devices, including larger 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch OLED phones with top-notch design features.

What do you think if it would be right decision to discontinue the big gun after one season?
