ASUS brought its first mid-range device Zenfone Max Plus back in November 2017 with 18:9 display and powerful battery. The Taiwanese company has revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 that the smartphone is all set to enter US market in February.


The ZenFone Max Plus features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display having 18:9 aspect ratio and 1,080 x 2,160 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6750T chipset accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage along with an option to expand by using microSD card slot.

The device comes with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-loaded sporting dual SIM. Asus has incorporated a dual camera setup at the rear comprising of 16MP sensor and 12MP wide-angle lens. For selfie enthusiast, there is a 16MP sensor at the front.

For security aspects, users have two options relating biometric recognition features; a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a facial recognition through front camera. The Zenfone Max Plus is packed with a 4,130mAh battery that offers a talk time of 26 hours and can last for up to 2 days on normal use.

Pricing and Availability

As mentioned earlier, the Zenfone Max Plus will be made available in the US with a price tag of $229 (~PKR 25,500) in two colour options – Azure Silver and Deepsea Black. However, the exact date of release and the GST carriers are yet not confirmed by Asus.
