Asus, most commonly known for its Zenfone series of smartphones, has added an entry level device to its lineup that is powered by Android Go. The smartphone dubbed as Asus Zenfone Live L1 carries fairly large display to appeal an ultra-budget crowd with its more affordable price tag.
Zenfone Live L1 – Features
The Zenfone Live L1 carries nothing special in its design features but keeping in view the pricing factor, it seems feasible to attract price-conscious customers. There is no fingerprint scanner or dual camera setup but you shouldn’t expect that much from an Android Go phone. However, the device boasts a 5.5-inch IPS LCD panel on the front with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels at an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The smartphone is a dual-SIM supported handset by default that runs Android Oreo (Go Edition) with preinstalled Go version of Google Apps. The Zenfone Live L1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. The device offers a fairly basic memory combo of 1GB RAM and 16GB native storage. However, users may expand storage by up to 2TB while using the microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the Zenfone Live L1 offers a single 13MP PDAF camera with an LED flash on the rear along with a 5MP selfie shooter with its own LED flash on the front to capture selfies, make video calls and unlocking the device with Face Unlock features.
Asus has set the battery capacity of the phone at 3,000 mAh that is meant to last fairly well thanks to extremely low resource usage of Android Go phones. Expect at least 2-3 days of usage with a single full charge.
Zenfone Live L1 – Pricing and Availability
The Zenfone Live L1 made its first appearance in the Indonesian market back in May this year. However, the device has been offered in the US market exclusively available on BestBuy with affordable price tag of $110 (~PKR 13,500).
