Finding Wi-Fi signals when you’re out of your home or office can be a tiresome task, especially when your mobile data connection can’t be relied on. This is a problem that Facebook has decided to do something about.
Facebook has rolled out new update for Android and iOS users enabling them to find Wi-Fi hotspots around them. So wherever you are, you can easily map the closest connections when your data connection is weak.
Facebook Find Wi-Fi
It’s a matter of almost one year when Facebook launched a feature called “Find Wi-Fi” that lets users to find an open Wi-Fi hotspot nearby. According to Facebook, it was limited to a few countries only in the beginning but now the feature has rolled out worldwide.
Not all businesses will show up in the ‘Find Wi-Fi’ feature since Facebook has to pull data from the information that various businesses might have added to their own business pages.
How to Find Wi-Fi Hotspots
- Open the Facebook app.
- Go to the More option or click on the hamburger menu icon.
- Tap the “Find Wi-Fi” in the list. If it isn’t visible, you might have to check under the apps section.
The hotspots will be presented as a list but you can toggle between that and the map. Expect to find internet connectivity via the app in locations where Wi-Fi hotspots are installed since the feature is available and fully working in Pakistan.
