OnePlus 6, the upcoming flagship killer of the year, will make its debut on May 17, 2018 in China. The company has started sending out invitations for the upcoming launch event containing a piece of glass with the bestselling features of the device mentioned on it.
The presence of glass slab in these invitations is not only a unique idea but it also hints towards a glass chassis with the OnePlus 6. The front of the glass presents a Chinese text that states the OnePlus 6 to be a full-speed flagship phone.
While, the rear of the glass enlists core selling points of the device such as good hands-on feel, stunning design, larger screen space and smooth touch experience.
OnePlus 6 Rumored Specs
The size of the glass represents the overall dimensions of the real OnePlus 6 that measures 155.7 x 75.35 x 7.75mm, weighing 177 grams. The chassis of the phone is also expected to offer certain level of water-resistance.
Rumors and reports revealed so far suggest the OnePlus 6 will feature a 6.28-inch AMOLED display, sporting 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9 – the most innovative one.
The smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset while the photography department will be furnished by a dual camera setup comprising of 20MP + 16MP. The selfie enthusiasts will enjoy selfie shooting with another 16MP affixed on the front.
Pricing and Availability
It is reported that after the May 17th launch event, the Chinese manufacturer will be holding a popup-event in multiple regions of China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu between 6pm and 9:30pm on May 21.
In the later phase, the smartphone will be introduced in the several cities in the US, Europe, Nordic and India. These events will be arranged to offer OnePlus customers to get OnePlus 6 before its official release date.
As far as pricing of the device is concerned, the OnePlus 6 is expected to arrive in multiple RAM and storage models such as 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. These models are rumored to be respectively priced at 3,299 Yuan (~$518, PKR 60,100), 3,799 Yuan (~$596, PKR 69,200) and 4,399 Yuan (~$630, PKR 73,100).
