The ‘A’ series by Samsung is known as premium mid-range series that come with near high-end specifications and feel more premium than the ‘J’ series. We’ve already seen a leak describing the upcoming model of Galaxy J3 2018 that brings lower camera specs than its predecessor. On contrary, another leak claims the Galaxy A5 2018 to bring Infinity Display like Galaxy S8 and Note 8.

Galaxy A7 2018

Today we’re going to discuss yet another leak of Galaxy A7 2018 that brings an image on surface letting us know how the device will look like. A fuzzy picture of the phone shows an edge to edge display and of course, a speaker grill which looks like the grill of Galaxy A5 (2018). Whereas a dual lens setup is evident at the front.

As reported, the Galaxy A7 2018 will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box but, as announced by Samsung, the device will see two major updates in its life – that is Android Oreo and Android P.

The phone is expected to bring Infinity Display of 5.7 inches in size making it compatible with A5 of next year. It is also talk of the town that the display of A7 would be Full HD+ with 18:9 ratio; just like most of the smartphones of today.

According to reports encircling tech blogs the Galaxy A7 2018 is expected to feature Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. Moreover, like other flagship devices of the time, we’ll have 6 GB of RAM with the A7. Remember, the upcoming true flagship device by Samsung – the Galaxy S9 is expected to feature 4GB of RAM. If it is true, the A7 will take the lead in this very feature.

On the camera front, the A7 carries a mystery somehow as we don’t know the resolution of the selfie shooter as yet but there will be a dual camera setup. The blurry picture of the phone shows the front of the phone with clear sight of the dual lens camera. However, the rear camera will bring a 16 MP lens with f/1.8 or f/1.7 aperture.

The battery is expected to be 3,600mAh which will support QuickCharge and will easily last for a complete day on a single charge.


Samsung has a trend of bringing ‘A’ series smartphones in January every year, so we anticipate to welcome the A7 2018 in the beginning of next year along with new models of Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5.
