Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand, seems to be joining the gradient color club with the launch of Honor 10 Lite. The Chinese brand is known for introducing the mid-range phones offering great value for money. The Honor 10 Lite being the latest entrant to the Honor family brings key improvements to the Honor 8X released earlier in September this year.

Honor 10 Lite – Features

The Honor 10 Lite sports a big 6.21-inch Full HD IPS LCD display on the front with an impressive screen to body ratio of 83%. The device looks exactly like the 8X Max on the front with its waterdrop notch.

As mentioned earlier, the standout feature of the Honor 10 Lite is its gradient back that changes color shades as you gaze from different angles. You have a fingerprint sensor and vertically oriented dual cameras protruding from the back as well.

Another plus of the Honor 10 Lite is the introduction of the latest version of the OS that is the Android 9 Pie along with Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI 9 skin out of the box offering Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness and Android Dashboard features.

The Honor 10 Lite is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor under the hood that is paired with three options of memory combos; 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. If you are not contented with these ones, you always have an option of using microSD card slot to further expand the storage features.

The photography department of the Honor 10 Lite is dominated by a dual camera setup on the rear comprising of a 13 MP f/1.8 main shooter along with a 2 MP depth sensing element. Another AI-enabled 24 MP sensor is placed inside the waterdrop notch on the front that can recognize 8 different scenes, learning from your selfie-taking patterns over time.

Last but not least is the battery. Honor 10 Lite has a 3,000 mAh unit. Fast charging wasn’t mentioned so it’s safe to say it won’t come with Huawei’s SuperCharge tech. Despite being in the premium midrange price segment, the Honor 10 Lite skips out on a USB Type-C port. You do, however, get a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor 10 Lite has been made available in China as of now in diverse color options of Midnight Black, Lily White, Gradient Blue and Gradient Red. Pricing of the device differs as per the storage combos:
