Huawei was earlier reported with working on a device dubbed as Honor Magic 2 with sliding camera technology; just like we’ve seen with OPPO Find X and Vivo NEX in the recent path. That has been further confirmed through a new teaser shared by some anonymous sources.
As per new teaser, the upcoming device dubbed as Honor Magic 2 will be unveiled on October 26th, equipped with a ‘magic’ (certainly the sliding camera) and the maiden Kirin 980 processor. Moreover, the new teaser touts the in-screen fingerprint sensor by adding a fingerprint icon on the bottom of the display.
What other reports claim, the Honor Magic 2 will carry a 6-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution of 1440 × 2880 pixels and almost 100% screen-to-body ratio. The inclusion of in-display fingerprint sensor will certainly bring the Magic 2 at par with the latest market trend. The Kirin 980 SoC is expected to couple with 6GB of RAM.
Honor claims that they have introduced an improved charging technique for the Magic 2 with the 40W Magic Charger that brings 15 layers of protection and can charge with upto 20-24 watts’ capacity. Although, the battery capacity is unknown but it must be sufficient enough to withstand the extra power requirement of the motorised sliding camera.
If the above specs and features are true, then it will surely help Honor to get some more sales in the high-end devices category. It will ultimately improve its market share in the high-end smartphone segment.
In the end, the teaser we’re talking about has not been surfaced through official sources of Honor therefore we aren’t certain about the authenticity of the source. However, we hope Honor to launch the Magic 2 on the given date. Stay tuned…
