HTC, a Taiwanese brand is all set to unveil successor to its last year’s device HTC U11 that is likely to be named as HTC U12. Earlier, the device was rumoured to be unveiled at the MWC 2018 but the company is now expected to bring the device on shelves next month.

HTC U12 – Leaked Specs

Although it’s a month in the official unveiling of the alleged HTC U12 but we’ve come across the upcoming phone’s specs sheet; thanks to the leak by LlabTooFeR, a ROM developer who has a good track record for leaking HTC-related stories.

According to the leak, the HTC U12 will feature a 5.99-inch QHD+ panel with trendy 18:9 aspect ratio making it a full-screen display. HTC has powered the device with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset – Snapdragon 845 that will be seen powering the most flagship devices of 2018.

The HTC U12 will be running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS out-of-the-box with the company’s custom interface HTC Sense 10 on top along with Edge Sense 2.0 and HTC Face Unlock features. The leak also suggests that that the HTC U12 will pack 6GB of RAM and a enormous 256GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, HTC U12 is said to feature a dual camera setup on the back comprising of 12MP + 16MP Sony IMX3xx unit. The device will be equipped by another 8MP front-facing sensor for video calling and capturing selfies.

The phone, which is said to have IP68 protection, will be packed by a 3,420mAh battery unit to keep the lights on for entire day. It is also said that the phone will have Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support as well.

HTC U12 – Pricing and Availability

As mentioned earlier, the smartphone was expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2018 that couldn’t happen though. But now, it is expected to be announced next month, however there is no official confirmation as yet by HTC.

Some leaks encircling tech blogs suggest that the HTC U12 may have a price tag of $880; a bit less than the HTC U11+ that was priced at $929. Stay tuned to know more about HTC products.
