Huawei has come up with another flagship device to its Honor series dubbed as Huawei Honor 10. The new device features a notched-premium design along with a bezelless display, dual camera setup, 6GB of RAM and much more to be your next stop. The Honor 10 is expected to deliver flagship grade camera experience and top-notch performance with an AI-powered Kirin 970 chipset.

Honor 10 – Features

As said earlier, the Huawei Honor 10 is equipped with a 5.84-inch LTPS IPS LCD bezelless display having 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution with a familiar notch on top and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Huawei has protected the display with a layer of Corning Gorilla glass but we don’t know the version as yet.

The home button placed on the bottom bezel of the Honor 10 is integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that offers better security than a traditional sensor. Further, it can be used to unlock the device even with wet fingers.

The Honor 10 has an aluminum frame that is flanked with glass panels on both sides. The Honor 10 uses a biaxial curved glass design that allows it to show off endless colors when it is viewed from different angles.

The Honor 10 is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset with 4 clocks turning at 2.4 GHz and the remaining 4 at 1.8 GHz. The chipset has proven to be highly capable of photography and cognitive decision making as far as Mate 10 duo is concerned. As expected, the device comes running Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI 8.1 on top.

Huawei has offered different options for storage options with the Honor 10. We have 6GB of RAM paired with 64GB and 128GB native storage whereas another combo of 4GB/64GB is also there with lesser price tag. However, storage may be expanded by up to 256GB by using microSD card slot but scarifying the SIM slot 2.

The Honor 10 is equipped with a dual rear camera setup consisting of 16 MP color sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 24 MP B&W sensor with the same aperture size. The primary camera handles most of the color rendition, while the black and white sensor is responsible for sharpness and exposure. It can still be used for taking “natural” black and white pictures though.

The selfie camera has 24 MP resolution and a decent aperture of f/2.0. Moreover, Kirin 970’s AI function helps enhance photography for both rear and front cameras by automatically adjusting settings based on the scene.

The battery unit has a capacity of 3,400 mAh and features Huawei’s fast charging tech with a 5V/4.5A charger. The 3,320mAh battery of the phone is enabled with support for SuperCharge 5V/4.5A fast charging technology. It allows the phone to gain 50 percent of power by charging it only for 25 minutes.
