Huawei unveiled its newest flagship series back in October this year titled as Mate 20 that included Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro with maiden triple camera setup on the rear and the most powerful chipset under the hood. Here comes the third and the most expensive member of the Mate 20 series that is Mate 20 RS Porsche Design.
Mate 20 RS Porsche Design – Features
The latest variant of the Mate 20 series borrows most of the specs features from the Mate 20 Pro – the bigger sibling already launched. However, Huawei has introduced a premium leather back for the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design in contrary with the glass back for the Mate 20 Pro. A vertical strip of glass is there in the middle that runs from top to bottom of the back panel and houses the triple camera module along with the Porsche Design branding.
The Mate 20 RS Porsche Design is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 980 octa-core chipset with dual NPU that is manufactured using the 7nm process. It packs the only combo of memory configuration that is 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The premium-designed smartphone brings a 6.39-inch QHD+ AMOLED notched display on the front that sports 3120 x 1440 pixels’ screen resolution at 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The photography department of the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design is dominated by the same triple camera setup that we’ve come across the Mate 20 Pro – 40MP + 20MP + 8 MP camera module with Leica lens and dual-tone dual-LED flash. However, the selfie shooter is limited to the single 24MP f/2.0 lens on the front that is also accompanied by the 3D Face Unlock features as well.
The smartphone runs EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9 Pie OS and is powered by a 4,200mAh battery that also supports 40W fast charging and 15W Qi wireless fast charging. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS with dual-band A-GPS, and USB-C 3.1 port.
