Huawei has unveiled another affordable mid-range smartphone in its Nova series dubbed as Huawei Nova 2 Lite. Huawei Philippines has started taking pre-orders for the new Nova device.

Huawei Nova 2 Lite – Features

Huawei Nova 2 Lite seems to be inspired by Honor 9 Lite in its design features. There is an all-glass body showcasing the premium build look in the first glance. The smartphone features a 5.99-inch HD+ IPS display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution.

The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with company’s latest EMUI 8.0 on top. Although we have a fingerprint sensor embedded at the rear but Huawei Nova 2 Lite also sports less secure Face Unlock feature.

The Nova 2 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor that is paired with a memory combo of 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot to increase storage up to 256GB.

On the camera front, Huawei Nova 2 Lite incorporates a dual camera setup at the rear comprising of 13MP + 2MP lens along with an LED flash. Whereas, we have another 8MP front shooter for taking selfies and video calling.

Connectivity options on the Nova 2 Lite Lite include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port. The phone is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery, which should be enough to last for a day on single charge.

Huawei Nova 2 Lite – Pricing and Availability

As mentioned earlier, Huawei Nova 2 Lite is available for pre-orders in the Philippines for Piso 9,990 (~$192, PKR 21,000) in three color options to choose from – Matte Black, Blue and Gold.

We currently don’t have any official confirmation of Nova 2 Lite’s global availability but Huawei may debut the new device to other emerging markets like Pakistan and India in coming days to compete with Xiaomi that is getting popular and dominating the market.
