Huawei, the Chinese tech giant, is in the spotlight after unveiling the most anticipated Huawei P20 series. The company has not only crossed the barriers by introducing the industry-first triple camera setup for the Huawei P20 Pro but the effort has been recognized by independent analysts.
The renowned imaging specialist – DxO Mark is among those admirers. The firm has tested the newest camera setup on its benchmark and published the result in the latest article.
Interestingly, the duo of P20 Pro and P20 have left all the big names far behind. The Huawei P20 Pro has been assessed as the all-time leader on DxO Mark with 109 points; way ahead of its younger sibling Huawei P20 that secures second position with overall score of 102.
Earlier, it was Samsung Galaxy S9+ that ruled the DxO Mark list only for one month after getting unveiled in February this year with overall score of 99 that has now been pushed back to number three while Huawei takes up the top two slots. Before that, we’ve seen Google Pixel 2 occupying the top slot for quite long beating iPhone X in the race.
As per details, the Huawei P20 Pro has managed to excel in both photos and videos scores by securing 114 and 98 marks respectively. On the other hand, the P20 with its dual camera setup also manages to beat big names like Samsung and Apple and does not fall far behind its elder sibling by securing 107 and 94 points in both the departments.
DXO Mark considers the duo of Huawei flagships for extremely fast and accurate autofocus, zooming and efficient stabilization. The company said:
The P20 Pro’s triple-camera setup is the biggest innovation we have seen in mobile imaging for quite some time and is a real game changer. Huawei has skipped one or two generations in the camera department.
These words are quite an honour for Huawei. We think it will be really hard for any other brand to reclaim the top spot on DXO Mark list by beating the triple camera setup of Huawei P20 Pro. What is your take on it? Let us know in the comments below.
