The introduction of high speed mobile internet with 3G & 4G connectivity and extensive use of smartphones have resulted into the history-high figures of over 140 million mobile phone users in Pakistan.

Currently there are four cellular operators offering their prepaid and postpaid services in the country; Jazz, Telenor, Ufone and ZongMost of the people use a prepaid package as it happens to be more convenient and budget-friendly than the postpaid options.

If you’ve followed TV commercials where the telecom operators highlight certain prepaid packages and offers that can be activated by dialing a certain code dubbed as Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) code. These codes normally start with * followed by certain digits and ending with #.
