iphone-x-is-coming-back

The iPhone X is coming back again! Yes, it is going to happen very soon. The iPhone models of 2018, especially the iPhone XS, seems not to come up with the expectations of Apple. The poor sales report of the latest handset forces the Cupertino based tech giant to carry on with the iPhone X. There are reports that Apple has resumed the production of iPhone X that the company had stopped after the launch of iPhone XS.

iPhone X is Coming Back

In an unprecedented move, Apple recently announced that they will not release the number of units sold from now on but will only share the revenue generated per quarter. The insiders claim that the low sale of the iPhone units has forced apple to change their strategy.

Reports reveal that Apple has experienced less than expected sales for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. In order to counter this loss, Apple has decided to resume the production of iPhone X.

The Wall Street Journal reported recently that Apple has decided to resume the production of iPhone X due to an agreement made with Samsung to purchase a certain number of OLED screens. The unexpected worse performance of the newly launched iPhone models has forced the company to restore its sales; no matter if iPhone X gets revived.

The report further predicts that the iPhone X may get better sales as compared to its successors due to a comparatively lower manufacturing cost of its components having an year-old technology. If that happens, it would certainly end up with a price drop from the original $1,000 leading to much healthier sale numbers.

Interestingly, the news comes amidst the disappointing sales by the current iPhone models, especially the iPhone XR that was expected to be the best selling smartphone of this year. However, the market trend shows that the budget-conscious customers prefer iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus due to the cheaper price than the iPhone XR.

Resultantly, Apple has also decided to cut the price of iPhone XR in Japan since Apple has had a big market share in Japan and this year’s sales indicate the new iPhones were not accepted by the majority. Let’s see when it happens in other parts of the world.
