Lenovo unwrapped the Lenovo Z5 last week with midrange specs that was a certain disappointment for those who followed a series of official teasers before its launch. We also thought that the Lenovo Z5 would be one of the most innovative and powerful flagships ever.
Despite the hopelessness, Lenovo Z5 proves to be an interesting device due to its affordable price tag. It went on sale in China on June 12th with a starting price tag of CNY 1299 that roughly translates into $203, PKR 23,500. Obviously this pricing refers to the base variant of 6/64 GB configuration. The pricing goes up to CNY 1799 (~$282, PKR 33,000) for the 6/128GB variant.
Interestingly, the phone went out of stock within minutes in the first sale. The sales chart of Chinese online retailer – JD.com reveals that the Lenovo Z5 becomes the sales champion. There were many other phones on sale today including the Xiaomi’s latest venture Mi 8 but the Z5 managed to beat them all in sales.
