LG is all set to shine at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 with its improved variant of LG V30s in Barcelona, Spain. The company has hinted about to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology with primary focus on visual and audio recognition.
LG Vision AI Technology
The Vision AI, as LG titles its AI technology, involves automatic image analysis for shooting mode recommendations; similar to what we saw in Huawei Mate 10 powered by Kirin 970 chipset. It will also recognize object and give shopping suggestions; similar to what Google did with Lens on the Pixel phones.
LG describes more about its AI technology in a statement:
The Vision AI is the next-generation image recognition technology that is designed to analyze objects and recommend the best shooting mode from among eight preset modes, including portrait, food, pet, landscape, city, flower, sunrise, and sunset. It also considers the angle of view, color, reflections, back-lighting, and saturation levels by analyzing images from a database.
It is also learnt that LG has decided not to bring its own smart voice assistant, like Samsung but to rely upon Google Assistant introducing a set of commands that are exclusive to LG phones. LG already has framed 23 such commands with an anticipation to extend the lineup to 32 by the end of this year.
As for the other features of LG V30s are concerned, LG confirmed to bring a dual camera setup comprising of wide-angle and low-distortion lenses. Recent rumors suggest that the phone will come with 6-inch FullVision OLED display having QHD+ resolution, Snapdragon 845 chipset, 256GB Internal storage, 16MP dual main camera setup, 5MP selfie shooter and 3,300mAh battery.
According to earlier reports, the LG V30s will be made available in South Korea from the second week of March at a price tag of KRW 1 million (~$920, PKR 102,000).
