LG is all set to unveil its upcoming flagship device dubbed as LG V40 ThinQ on October 4th. The South Korean tech leader has released a new teaser video that reveals the design of the upcoming device from all sides.
The video confirms earlier rumors of LG bringing five cameras on a single smartphone. The back panel of the V40 ThinQ features triple camera setup along with a fingerprint scanner. The other two cameras are embedded on the front of the phone.
LG V40 ThinQ – Features
Most of the details about LG V40 ThinQ have not been officially revealed as of now except for the penta-camera setup and a little about design features.
For instance, the configurations of all the cameras are still a mystery. However, rumors suggest that the triple camera module will feature a 16MP main sensor, a 12MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. Whereas, the dual camera module on the front is expected to feature an 8MP + 5MP configuration.
The V40 ThinQ is also rumored to arrive with a 6.4-inch OLED screen on the front with Quad HD+ resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front is protected by a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 while an IP68 certification ensures water/dust resistance up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Although, the handset can be seen in red color in the teaser video but a recent press release from the company hints that the device will be arriving in three color options of Carmine Red, Moroccan Blue and Platinum Gray.
LG claims that they have used reinforced glass back for the phone and added a “Sandblast” finish to make the body scratch resistant and less prone to getting fingerprint marks and smudges.
Other than that, Evan Blass – a noted smartphone journalist – revealed a leaked image of LG V40 ThinQ in a tweet:
The V40 ThinQ is expected to get powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC and an Adreno 630 GPU. Its starting variant is predicted to be packed with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
However, the higher model may come with memory combo of 8GB RAM along with 128 GB of inbuilt storage. Luckily, it will also have a dedicated microSD card slot that can expand your storage by up to 512 GB.
