Meizu, a Chinese brand known for budget and mid-range products, has set the January 17th as the date to surface its first ever 18:9 venture – Meizu M6S. Earlier, the same event was announced to be held on January 4th but due to untold reasons Meizu has extended the launch event by two weeks.
The image on the first poster published by Meizu revealed a major feature of the upcoming device and that is the 18:9 display, not seen before by Meizu so far. Several leaks claimed in recent days about Meizu working on the full-screen display and the rumors are about to be proven true in the name of M6S.
Meizu is also all set to unveil another trendsetting technology achievement by bringing a fingerprint scanner affixed at the side beneath the power button on Meizu M6S. Furthermore, there will be no mBack button; instead its features will be made available through a virtual key.
Meizu M6S Expected Specs Sheet
As far as the specs sheet is concerned, the Meizu M6S will come with a 5.7″ 18:9 display and a 2930mAh battery. It is expected to be available in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB variants and rumored to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7872 processor.
The Meizu M6S is powered by the Exynos 7872 chipset that includes a hexa-core processor. For photography, it will be equipped with a rear camera of 13-megapixel and a selfie camera of 5-megapixel.
The phone has already been certified at the Chinese Ministry of Information but its full specification details have not been revealed on the TENAA database. We’ll have to wait for another couple of weeks to know the exact specs sheet.
