Mark your calendars as Xiaomi has formally announced the release date of the upcoming budget phablet – Mi Max 3; it is the July 19th. The new device is said to follow the footprints of its predecessor Mi Max 2 and introduce extremely large display and powerful battery backup.
As per the official announcement made through Xiaomi’s Weibo page by sharing an image of the Mi Max 3, the device will be arriving on July19th with a “large screen and battery” – two key selling points for the Mi Max lineup.
Mi Max 3 – Expected Specifications
Although, the teaser image does not reveal any information of its specifications but the Mi Max 3 is rumoured to come with an extremely large Full HD+ display of 7-inch in size with trendy features of bezellessness and 18:9 aspect ratio. Whilst, it may not be equipped with the Face Unlock features but a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is confirmed to meet security needs.
What’s more, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is said to feature an Octa-core CPU, clocked at 1.8 GHz, which could be made either by Qualcomm or Mediatek. The device is expected to run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box along with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 10 ROM. The phablet is rumored to come in different storage variants having 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB memory combos.
Likewise, though not yet confirmed, but the photography department of Mi Max 3 is expected to feature a dual camera setup on its rear comprising of a 12MP primary sensor paired with another unknown secondary sensor. However, the front-facing selfie shooter is said to be equipped with an 8MP sensor.
As we don’t have much of the confirmed specs as of yet, but the best part of today’s gossip ends with a massive 5,500 mAh battery source that is meant to keep the lights on for two to three days on a single charge.
