Google brought the latest version of their famous Android OS that is Android 8 Oreo couple of weeks ago and started rolling updates for Pixel and Nexus devices. Now the other manufacturers have also revealed their programs to update their high-end devices to Android Oreo. Motorola is one such manufacturer, and with a slew of Android devices under its belt, it’s time to take a look at which will get Oreo.
If we talk about the devices that were released in 2016 and got Android Nougat update may not be the priority for Motorola to introduce Android Oreo as well like Moto G4 Play, Moto G4, and Moto G4 Plus. Well, this might be a disturbing news for their users but it happens with budget smartphones so need not to worry and think about other options.
If you see a note on your phone mentioning “pending partner support”, it means that it is not only Motorola but your carrier too is ready to roll out Android Oreo updates. As such, you should also pay attention to your carrier if you have any of the Z-branded phones, since they are the ones who set the update timetable for their phones.
If you examine the list below, there is no Moto X4, the upcoming first ever Android One phone to be launched in the US. As the phone is not available anywhere in the world, it is assumed that it will bring Android Oreo when it comes out of the box.
