The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has come up to facilitate general public willing to apply for Naya Pakistan Housing Program. The Authority is all set to introduce online form submission facility for the NPHP next week.

This was revealed by Mr. Rizwan Haider, Director NADRA while talking to the PTV News. He said that the decision of providing online facility has been taken in order to make the form submission process for the government-sponsored housing program hassle free. He further said:

“Housing is a basic right of every citizen. The Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme will offer employment opportunity to designers, craftsmen, civil engineers, architects, construction companies, cement and marble owners”,

Mr. Haider said that the Naya Pakistan Housing Program could meet the residential needs of people with limited resources while most of those applying for the housing scheme were salaried people. He further expressed the hope that all deserving people would get affordable houses under this scheme on merit.

The Director said NADRA had enhanced its network of mobile registration vans in rural areas to facilitate masses for correction of new housing scheme forms and for further guidelines. He said that only one person per family will be eligible to apply for the scheme and preference will be given to candidates who do not own property in Pakistan.

NPHP Expands to 19 Districts

Not to mention that the Naya Pakistan Housing Program was launched in seven districts in the initial phase including Islamabad, Quetta, Sukkur, Faisalabad, Swat, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit where registration process is already underway.

Meanwhile, government has expanded the program to 12 more districts including Lahore, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Vehari, Kasur, Sialkot, Jhelum Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzaffargarh. However, registration for these districts will be started in the second phase.
