HMD Global has unveiled Nokia 1.3 that runs Android One Go under the hood and brings an app that is not available on any other Android Go phones – Camera Go.

The new Nokia device is identical in design to the Nokia 2.3 and brings a water-drop notch in the display with considerably thick bezels all around. We have a 5.71-inch HD+ panel on the front. However, the smartphone offers a 3D nano-textured polycarbonate back while the front is covered in glass.


The Nokia 1.3 runs Android 10 (Go Edition) under the hood that is expected to be upgraded to Android 11 (Go Edition) in coming months. The smartphone embeds a Snapdragon 215 chipset (4x Cortex-A53 cores) inside the phone along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage that can be expanded by up to an additional 400GB via a MicroSD card slot.



Talking about cameras, the phone comes with an 8MP camera with low-light enhancement while the selfie camera is a 5MP sensor. As mentioned earlier, a new Android Go camera app called Camera Go is pre-installed on the phone. This is a new app and can be called the Android Go version of the camera app found in Pixel phones.


HMD Global has incorporated a removable 3000mAh battery inside Nokia 1.3 that is said to last more than a day on a single charge. It charges via a MicroUSB port and ships with a 5W adapter. The Nokia 1.3 has a dedicated Google Assistant button, an audio jack, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.2, LTE, and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

HMD Global is all set to make Nokia 1.3 available for purchase in April this year with to choose from Cyan, Charcoal and Sand color options priced at €95.
