The iconic Nokia 3310 makes its way to enter Indian market today in a new avatar after seventeen years it was originally launched. The revamped version of the phone was officially announced at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) held at Barcelona in late February this year.

The HMD Global, a Finland based manufacturer with the exclusive rights to market the Nokia brand, is all set to release the Nokia 3310 in India on May 18 at a “recommended best buy price” of Rs 3310; following the model number.

The Finis Company said in a statement,

“The Nokia 3310 will be available across top mobile stores in India starting May 18, 2017… will retail at a recommended best buy price of Rs 3,310.”

Ajey Mehta, VP (India), HMD Global highlighted the salient features by saying, “Talk all day on a single charge, send texts, take pictures and enjoy a pocket jukebox with a built-in FM Radio and MP3 player.

Nokia 3310 – Features

To recall, the new Nokia 3310 qualifies as a “feature phone”. Unlike the smartphone which is capable of providing 3G/4G connectivity, Nokia 3310 relies on 2.5G connectivity and runs on S30+ operating system. The phone also comes pre-installed with a new the modern version of the classic “Snake” game.

The dual SIM phone features a 2.4-inch display and is equipped with a 1200 mAh battery that promises around 22 hours of talk time. The rear camera is a 2MP shooter with LED flash. Internal storage is limited to 16 MB and external storage can be expanded up to 32 GB.

In terms of connectivity, the feature phone has a micro USB, 3.5mm AV connector and supports 3.0 Bluetooth. The feature phone will be available in four colours- warm red and yellow, both with a gloss finish, and dark blue and grey, both with a matte finish, HMD said.
