The famous Nokia brand supervised by HMD Global is continuously adding items to its portfolio. Just recently, we have seen Nokia 1.3 offering first of its kind Camera Go app. Now, the Nokia 5 series is back after a pause of more than two years with the new Nokia 5.3.
What’s New in Nokia 5.3?
The Nokia 5.3 packs many upgrades including quad camera, larger display, optimum storage options and powerful battery making the new entrant purchase worthy.
The smartphone features the trendy water-drop notch in the display for the selfie shooter and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The Nokia 5.3 comes in Cyan, Sand, and Charcoal color options.
Nokia 5.3 offers a 6.55-inch display on the front having 720 pixels resolution that seems an odd decision as many of Nokia competitors usually bring a 1080p panel for the bigger displays.
However, HMD Global has embedded a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 chipset under the hood that is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
As mentioned earlier, Nokia 5.3 brings a quad camera setup on the rear comprising of a 13MP f/1.8 primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, a 5MP ultrawide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. Whereas, the selfie shooter houses an 8MP sensor.
The Nokia 5.3 packs a 4000mAh battery capacity, the biggest in a Nokia 5 phone but disappointingly supports only 10W charging. There is also Bluetooth 4.2 instead of Bluetooth 5.0. You get an audio jack, FM radio and a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side.
Nokia 5.3 Pricing and Availability
As per market sources, the Nokia 5.3 will go on sale in April this year for €189 and will get upgrades to Android 11 and Android 12 along with 3 years of security updates.
