It is HMD Global that has rebranded the Nokia brand to the Android makeover introducing a diversity of specifications ranging from Nokia 3 to Nokia 8.

The company has already confirmed that Android 8.0 Oreo upgrades for Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 are ready to be rolled out in the later part of this year.

All of the current Nokia devices are running on Android Nougat 7.1 for now and would be among the first ones to get Android Oreo upgrade, starting with the flagship Nokia 8 later this month.

The company behind Nokia has shown more commitment to better services by announcing another breaking news to further upgrade all these phones to Android P next year as well.

The announcement was made at a Nokia launch event in Philippines, however it is not clear whether Nokia 2, being the cheapest in Nokia range, will also get the Android P update or not.

It is quite interesting to know that HMD Global has clear plans to expand its devices portfolio to almost 10 devices by the unveiling of Android P next year. Nokia users will surely witness regular software updates to be at par with others.

Nokia is setting a high standard for companies like LG, Lenovo and OnePlus whose devices also run near to stock Android but whose duration of software support is less than desirable.
