OPPO – the Chinese brand, is really expanding its presence in more parts of the world with its innovative and camera-centric Android smartphones. The company is listed among top five world’s best smartphone manufacturers and declared its presence in Europe while making the OPPO Find X Lamborghini Edition available in France, Spain, Netherlands and Italy. In its latest move, OPPO has confirmed the launch of its mid-range product – OPPO A3 in Taiwan.

OPPO A3 – Features

The OPPO A3 is a dual SIM supported device by default that runs Android 8.1 Oreo customized with Color OS 5.0 under the hood. The smartphone has an elegant glass plus metal design with a diamond-like finish on the back.

The display on the front is a bigger one measuring 6.2-inches with 19:9 aspect ratio and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. You’ll enjoy a narrow-bezelled display with a notch on the top like iPhone X.


OPPO has embedded a mid-range octa-core Helio P60 chipset under the hood to power up the device that can run at a maximum frequency of 2 GHz. The SoC is well backed by a memory combo of 4GB RAM and 128GB native storage that can be expanded by up to 256GB by using a dedicated microSD card slot without scarifying second SIM.

The photography department of OPPO A3 is sported by a decent 16MP lens on the rear with a bright f/1.8 aperture. The front snapper offers a resolution of 8MP with larger aperture size of f/2.2 to capture wide angle selfies. The device gets fuelled by a 3,400 mAh battery unit.

OPPO A3 – Pricing and Availability

OPPO A3 makes its debut appearance outside China in Taiwan, making it available through OPPO’s e-store, OPPO Experience stores and the most important e-commerce sites in the country. The device is priced at NTD 10,990 that roughly translates into $327 and PKR 44,000.
