OPPO, the camera-centric Chinese smartphone brand, seems to bring another budget model for its customers. As the company’s official webpage in Pakistan has listed OPPO A71 (2018) – an upgraded model of the OPPO A71 brought to the country in September last year. OPPO Pakistan has shared all the specifications of the new entrant except the price tag; at least as for now.

OPPO brings the OPPO A71 (2018) with a 5.2-inch TFT, 1280 x 720 pixels HD display with traditional 16:9 aspect ratio having front home button just under the display. The edges of the smartphone are well chamfered to create an easy grip with one hand. The device weighs just 137g and has a dimension of 148.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm.
Going to the rear, the device packs an all-metal rear cover with the U-shaped fused antenna band positioned at the extreme top and bottom edges. OPPO claims to introduce a gold coating at the rear by using electroplating and nano-silver technology. OPPO A71 (2018) also brings a black variant also coated using the same electroplating technique.
While looking inside, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset powering up the smartphone, backed by 2GB of RAM. The OPPO A71 (2018) brings 16GB of native storage; expandable up to 256GB by using microSD card.
On the camera front, OPPO packs the budget device with a 13MP rear camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture while the selfie shooter brings a 5MP sensor at the front having an aperture of f/2.4.
The OPPO A71 (2018) lacks in bringing the latest operating system as the device runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The smartphone sports OTG, WiFi 2.4/5GHz 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS for the connectivity options. There is a 3,000mAh battery unit to keeps the lights on.
