Oppo is the brand that is well known for its camera centric smartphones. The Chinese manufacturer now brings a mid-range smartphone Oppo A71 that is equipped with ample capacity of battery and 3GB of RAM.

Oppo has opted the metal-based finish for the solid designed A71superimposed by a nano silver technology to make the phone stronger and long lasting. The display on the front comes with a 5.2″ TFT panel having a workable 720p resolution. Surprisingly, we don’t see a fingerprint sensor considering that even low end phones have one these days.

Oppo A71 is dual SIM by default that runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Oppo’s custom Color OS 3.1 skin on top making multi-tasking a practical phenomenon. Under the hood we get an octa-core 1.5 GHz MediaTek processor supported with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which is also expandable via microSD.

On the camera front, Oppop A71 comes with a single lens setup on the back consisting of a 13 MP shooter with an LED Flash and phase-detection autofocus features. The sensor size is 1/3.06″ while there’s an f/2.2 aperture. The front of the phone also comes with a 5 MP secondary shooter with f/2.4 aperture.

Battery capacity is set at 3,000 mAh, and its likely non-removable. No fast charging support was mentioned which means you’ll be stuck charging it for 2+ hours every time it runs out of juice.

Price and Availability

Oppo Pakistan has made the A71 available on shelves nationwide with a price tag of Rs. 19,899 which will potentially get intermingled with other competitive Chinese options. However with the hardware it offers, it’ll be a tough sell.
