OPPO has unveiled a new mid-range smartphone in the market with brand name of OPPO A7X. The newly announced device looks quite similar to the recent big gun by the Chinese manufacturer that is OPPO F9 with a couple of changes, making the price tag a bit lower.
OPPO A7X – Features
The OPPO A7X brings the same 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel on the front with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and FHD+ resolution. The display incorporates a tiny waterdrop notch at the top while the rear of the device features gradient colors giving it a premium look.
The A7X is a dual SIM supported handset that runs OPPO’s Color OS 5.2 skin on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The device gets powered by an octa-core 2.0 GHz Helio P60 processor embedded underneath, accompanied by 4GB of RAM as compared to 6GB in case of OPPO F9. However, the OPPO A7X is coupled with a higher 128 GB of storage, rather than 64 GB on the F9.
The photography department is managed by a dual camera setup on the rear consisting of a 16MP lens coupled with another 2MP along with an LED flash and PDAF. However, the front camera has been downgraded from a 25MP shooter to 16MP from the F9.
The OPPO A7X gets fuelled by a 3500 mAh battery under the hood that is not supported with the fast-charging features.
OPPO A7X – Pricing and Availability
OPPO has made the A7X available for its home market China with price tag of CNY 1,999 (~$291, PKR 36,000) that is on par with the base variant of OPPO F9 equipped with a 25MP front shooter and VOOC fast-charging features.
The device is expected to enter international markets including Pakistan very soon. Stay tuned to follow OPPO A7X.
