OPPO – the camera brand teased its upcoming premium midrange device OPPO R15 in two official video clips recently that let us know that OPPO would certainly copy iPhone X in bringing the top-notch out there.

Ahead of its launch, we have come across a couple of more details of the device surfaced online – mainly related to the overall dimensions showcasing an impressive 90% screen to body ratio.

OPPO R15 with 90% Screen to Body Ratio

The leak coming through ITHome reveals that the OPPO R15 will bring an elongated 6.28-inch front panel equipped with OPPO Super Vision capabilities ensuring an overall 90% of screen to body ratio. Reminding you that another Chinese brand has achieved 91% of screen to body ratio on Vivo APEX recently unveiled in China.

The leak further suggests that the display would probably bring an FHD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The side bezels are narrow enough measuring 1.78mm in size. However, the top bezel would bring an iPhone X like top notch measuring 324 x 80 pixels in size accommodating multiple front mounted sensors including selfie shooter and front speakers.

Some earlier reports suggested that the OPPO R15 might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 chipset – the same that fuelled OPPO R11. However, another leakster from China claims that the recently unveiled MediaTek Helio P60 chipset would be powering up the upcoming OPPO R15.

Meanwhile, it is also learnt that the device may bring Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and a battery unit of 3,365 mAh to keep the lights on for the day long. On the memory front, we may have a combo of 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage embedded under the hood.
