Sony – a well-known Japanese brand, unveiled its best ever flagship device dubbed as Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium back in April this year. The company shared its premium features including 4K HDR Display along with dual camera setup and 6GB of RAM. However, the Japanese tech giant has just revealed the availability and price tag details of the long-awaited Sony product.
Pricing and Availability
As per details, Sony has offered the Xperia XZ2 Premium for pre-orders in the US on July 9th. Sony fans may head on to Amazon for placing their orders for an exclusive price tag of a cent less than $1,000. Note that customers will also get a free pair of wireless headphones – the Xperia Ear Duo with every single pre-order.
However, the promotion is limited only to those customers who will place their orders before July 30th, after which the handset will officially be offered on sale in the U.S. in Chrome Silver color only, while the Chrome Black option will come later.
The pricing seems quite excessive considering that Sony is far from the top 5 best global smartphone manufacturers in terms of sales. But we know this company is in the smartphones market only for strategic reasons and not to dominate it.
About Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium
Despite the fact that the handset is offered with the most expensive price tag at the moment (if we exclude the iPhone X), the Xperia XZ2 Premium is packed with impressive specs. It is the only new-gen smartphone that brings a 4K display and HDR technology. The notch-free 5.8-inch display panel offers an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The hardware section is fascinated with an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset that runs at a maximum frequency of 2.45 GHz. The smartphone brings an enormous memory combo of 6GB RAM and 64GB native storage that can also be expanded by up to 512GB via microSD card slot.
The camera department includes a dual camera setup on the rear with resolutions of 19MP with f/1.8 wide angle aperture and 12MP having f/1.6 aperture length. The selfie shooter is also affixed on the front with 13MP lens.
