It is almost four months from now when Sony unveiled its flagship device dubbed as Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. Since then we haven’t come across any update but it is now confirmed that China and Taiwan would be the first markets to say hello to Xperia XZ 2 Premium as the pre-orders are being kicked-off on July 2 in both these markets.
However, the pricing of the upcoming smartphone is yet to be announced. According to reports, Sony Mobile will be holding a press conference on July 5 in Taiwan. It is likely that the Japanese tech leader may confirm the pricing of Xperia XZ2 Premium during the same event.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Specs and Features
Just reminding our visitors, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium houses a 5.8-inch notch-less IPS LCD display on the front that supports a conventional aspect ratio of 16:9. Whereas, the main highlight of the device is its 4K HDR screen that sports an enormous resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels.
The Xperia XZ Premium 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset that is well supported by a huge 6GB of RAM and a native storage of 64GB. However, you may have a microSD card slot for additional storage.
The Motion Eye dual camera setup that includes a 19-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary resides on the backside of the phone. It has a front-mounted camera of 13-megapixel.
The handset receives power from 3,450mAh battery that is equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging. The smartphone is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. It has a fingerprint scanner placed on its rear side.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Availability
Apart from China and Taiwan, the Xperia XZ2 Premium is also expected to launch in select markets across the globe in this summer. As far as Taiwan is concerned, the official sales of the smartphone are expected to begin by late July.
