Earlier this month we have shared news of PTDC managed double decker bus tour from Lahore to Wagah border and now comes good news for the residents of twin cities to get their very own Double Decker Sightseeing Bus Service from tomorrow, December 20th. This was revealed by a senior official of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) who said that the inauguration ceremony of these buses will be held at the Pakistan China Centre.
The details suggest that the Manager Director PTDC also met Private School Association (PSA) where representatives of the different schools and colleges appreciated the launch of the service and assured that students in large numbers will take benefit from this service.
The PTDC official said the students of schools and colleges will realize the importance of tourism by participating in such activities. He further said that both PTDC and PSA have agreed to offer discounted packages for the students. Through this mega project, PTDC not only aims to promote tourism but also to facilitate the citizens of Rawalpindi Islamabad.
According to reports, PTDC has finalized the route of these special sightseeing buses covering most of the famous picnic and tours points of twin cities including Rawal Lake, F-9 Park, Faisal Mosque, Islamabad National Zoo, Children Park, Lok Virsa as well as Ayub National Park in Rawalpindi, while Taxila Museum will be visited on weekends.
The PTDC official said that the Double Decker Sightseeing Buses would have all facilities as per international standard and if the project gets success, the number of bus tours are expected to be increased to four days a week.
