QMobile, the self-proclaimed highest selling smartphone brand in Pakistan, has come up with QMobile Energy Series comprising of two entry level smartphones – Energy X1 and Energy X2. The only thing that is noteworthy in the new series is the mighty battery source of 5000mAh in entry level devices.
QMobile has a history of signing the leading showbiz and sports personalities to promote their products in the TV commercials. The company has not only been associated with local names but has crossed the border as well when it comes to celebrity endorsements.
QMobile was in talks with celebrities like Atif Aslam and Fawad Khan who were representing other brands but had earlier been associated with QMobile. It seems the brand’s efforts concluded in a success as Fawad Khan is back with the Team QMobile! QMobile’s new TVC features Fawad Khan sporting the Energy X1 and Energy X2.
QMobile Energy series
The design for the Energy series smartphones has been kept simply simplistic. The back of the phone features what looks like brushed metal finish but is actually plastic. Up front you get a 5 inch IPS HD (1280 x 720) display with ~294 ppi pixel density.
Energy X2 is a dual-SIM phone by default and comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the the box. QMobile has not provided a fingerprint sensor in new series whereas the other manufacturers have made it very common for their products.
The QMobile Energy X2 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580M processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot that supports up to 64 GB of extra space.
On the other hand the little sibling Energy X1 comes with same processor but half the memory features that is 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD card up to 32 GB.
Energy X2 comes with an 8 MP rear camera with an LED flash, HDR, autofocus and 720p video capabilities. There is a 5 MP front camera with a wide angle mode, face detection and beautification features. But if you go with the Enegy X1, you’ll get the same camera features except for a 5 MP rear shooter instead of 8 MP.
As we said earlier the battery of the Energy series is something special. Both the X1 and X2 are available with a massive 5,000 mAh battery which provides ample backup and can transform into a power bank when needed. Here comes another limitation as we see an ordinary 2.0 Amp charger that will surely take a very long time to recharge the devices.
