Xiaomi has unveiled the best Redmi Note phone of all times that is Redmi Note 7. Lei Jun, CEO Xiaomi, took the covers off the latest Redmi Note and announced Redmi as its sub-brand that will operate as different entity like Huawei’s Honor and OPPO’s Realme brands.
Not to mention that the Redmi Note series has always focused on the essentials like a large battery, a large display and a good mid-range processor. The Redmi Note 7 continues to follow the same formula but brings some important updates to the series making it the most powerful one.
Redmi Note 7 – Features
Redmi Note 7 brings a large 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display at the front with 84% screen to body ratio. The first major upgrade is visible on the front having a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie shooter within.
The Redmi Note 7 offers a glass sandwich design having glass on both front and back sides. However, Redmi has introduced gradient coloring this time on the back like Honor phones along with a single, large protruding module that houses main camera setup while an LED flash fits in a separate island below the cameras.
Redmi Note 7 is a dual SIM supported handset that runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with MIUI 10 skin laying on the top. The new Note is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC under the hood that is accompanied by three different RAM and internal storage variants:
- 3GB RAM + 32GB storage
- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage
- 6GB RAM + 64GB storage
Redmi has changed the tendency of embedding average cameras as the Redmi Note 7 houses a massive 48MP (Sony IMX586) camera on the back with a second 5MP shooter for portrait mode. Redmi claims that the 48MP shooter uses a Quad-Bayer filter and may compress the images to 12MP for greater quality just like Huawei’s flagship Mate series. Moreover, the new Note features a 13MP sensor on the front for selfie shooting.
Powerful battery is another trademark for Redmi Note series that continues with the Note 7 having a gigantic 4,000mAh power source. However, there are two major upgrades this time – Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 and a USB-type C.
