Samsung has finally launched a duo of its midrange smartphones – Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 in Pakistan. The major hallmark for both the siblings is their premium design, Infinity-U displays, large batteries and new chipsets offered in a decent price range.

Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50

The duo of new Galaxy A series smartphones features a new Prism design with a lot of 3D rounded edges, 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop cutout at the top. Both the devices are power packed by a 4,000mAh battery that is expected to last for days with average usage.

Internals

The Galaxy A30 is powered by an Exynos 7904 chipset supported by a memory setup of 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. On the other hand, the Galaxy A50 becomes superior with its 10nm Exynos 9610 chipset that has four Cortex A73 cores for processing more efficiently. Moreover, the internal storage of the device is backed by 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM.

Camera

The photography department of the Galaxy A30 is packed by a dual camera setup on the rear comprising of 5MP and 16MP configuration offering 123° Ultra Wide Angle coverage, while the front camera brings 16MP lens for selfie shooting and video calling.


Being the elder sibling, the Galaxy A50 is packed by a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 25MP primary sensor along with an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth sensor. On the other hand, the front camera of the device also offers more powerful lens of 25MP resolution.

Security

Where Galaxy A50 comes with a fingerprint scanner mounted within the display, the A30 has a conventional fingerprint scanner on the back. You can also unlock your phones with Face Recognition technology.

Pricing and Availability

Both Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 have been made available in Pakistan in white, blue and black color options. The price tag for Galaxy A30 is set at Rs. 40,000 whereas Galaxy A50 will cost you Rs. 52,000.

The phones are currently available to all distributors of Samsung phones in Pakistan such as Airlink, Greentech, and M&P. They will go live on markets and online stores in a day or two.
