Samsung unveiled the 2018 models of Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ in December last year with an announcement to bring the duo on the shelves in early January. Accordingly, South Korean tech giant started pre-orders for the duo in home country with sale kicked-off from January 5th.

Galaxy A8 (2018) Enters Europe

The Galaxy A8 (2018) has now moved into Europe as the Netherlands becomes the first country to say hello to the first Samsung device of the year 2018 today while other European markets are expected to do the same soon.

The Galaxy A8 (2018) brings a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display featuring 18.5:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution of 2200 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Exynos 7885 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

More importantly, Samsung has entered in the dual front camera setup with the launch of Galaxy A8. The device becomes the first ever from the company to feature a 16MP and an 8MP sensor setup at the front while the rear side of the phone is fitted with a 16MP lens.

Pricing and Availability

Samsung has listed the Galaxy A8 (2018) on the official website for the Netherlands with a price tag of €499 (~$595 or PKR 65,900) in three colour options: Black, Grey and Gold. However, there is no official confirmation whether the larger Galaxy A8+ (2018) moves to European markets or not.

As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy A8 (2018) is also up for buying in the home market of South Korea with a price tag of around ~$560. However, the larger A8+ (2018) is not yet available in the home country as well.
