Samsung, the largest smartphone manufacturer from South Korea, is going to expand its popular J series while launching Samsung Galaxy J3 in early 2017. Although company has not released any official statement but the smartphone has already cleared the FCC in the US and TENAA in China, has now been spotted on the GFXBench benchmarking website.
Samsung was recently suffering the battery explosion problem of Note 7. The company recalled the devices and stop selling Note 7. Then some other reports were also made about the explosion of Samsung smartphones. The Korean Company is investigating the cases and has not revealed any information about these reports yet.
According to the details, available so far, Galaxy J3 2017 features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD display with at least five finger gesture support. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based on Samsung’s own skin TouchWiz UI
An image leak earlier also hints that the smartphone’s design is similar to all of Samsung’s budget Galaxy smartphones with a capsule-shaped Home Button at the bottom of the display and capacitive navigation buttons on either side.
The image reveals that the power button is resting on the right edge, while the volume buttons are housed on the left edge of the Samsung galaxy J3 2017.
According to listing, Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will sport 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM. Internal storage offering should be at 16GB (with 10GB available for customer’s use) and further expansion via a microSD slot can also be expected.
Sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope and compass. Connectivity options include GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and most likely 4G VoLTE support.
Camera and Battery
As per the listing, the Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 incorporates a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash, face detection, autofocus, touch focus, and HDR photo. Additionally, there is a 2-megpixel front camera for selfies and video chats.
If we talk about J3 battery, the phone is rumored to have removable 2600 mAh Li-ion battery.
It is expected that new budget smartphone will get a price tag of around PKR 15,000 to 17,000.
