Samsung Pakistan has recently listed two of its J series smartphones – Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 on its official website. It seems that the South Korean tech giant is all set to bring some much-needed additions to its mid-range lineup as Galaxy J8 has also become official in India bringing infinity display and dual camera setup at midrange price.
Galaxy J8 – Features
The Galaxy J8 is a dual SIM supported handset that runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The device features a large Infinity Display of 6-inch Super AMOLED panel on the front with HD+ resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio having a polycarbonate unibody build all round.
Samsung has introduced an octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor under the hood of Galaxy J8 along with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which is also expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the camera front, Galaxy J8 features a dual-lens setup comprising of 16MP and 5MP lens that would presumably allow bokeh effect and portrait mode. For selfie enthusiasts, we have a 16MP shooter on the front with its own LED flash.
The Galaxy J8 is fuelled up by a 3,500 mAh battery unit that is considered a perfect combination with SD450 to get you through at least a couple of days of use. Unfortunately there is no fast charging so you’ll be stuck charging this phone for at least a couple of hours.
Galaxy J8 – Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy J8 is priced at INR 19,000 (~$277, PKR 32,000) for Indian market. Though, it is not yet announced but we expect to see Galaxy J8 in Pakistan very soon.
