Samsung is all set to unveil Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ tomorrow at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. Meanwhile, we came across a flood of rumors covering almost everything about the flagship duo except for the price tags.

Although, it is Samsung that may officially announce the pricing factor at the unveiling ceremony tomorrow but we have come across a new leak suggesting higher price tags than ever for the new entrants of Galaxy lineup.

The leak revealed by our favourite leaker Evan Blass concludes that Samsung Galaxy S9 may have a higher price tag than Apple’s iphone X. He has shared two images on his twitter account allegedly being Galaxy S9 with a price tag of €841 and Galaxy S9+ with a whopping €997 price tag.

We have seen Apple’s 10th anniversary model iPhone X enjoying overwhelming response by Apple fans despite the fact that it had the highest price tag of $999. That was mainly because of ‘innovative’ features of top notch housing a number of sensors and Face ID bringing the phone’s security to another level.

It seems that Samsung has decided to follow Apple’s footprints and bring Galaxy S9 costing around $1,030 while the Plus version for $1,225; provided the leak we are talking about proves true.

It should be kept in mind that the speculated price tags are US specific and other markets may witness even higher ones due to inflated rates. For instance, the iPhone X was shipped by some Pakistani e-commerce stores for PKR 200,000 (~$1,800). However, as Samsung has its vast distribution network all over the world, including Pakistan, it is unlikely to happen this for Galaxy S9 and prices are likely to remain under control.

As the Galaxy S9 will be unveiled tomorrow, stay tuned to Phone Smart to know official specifications and price tags of the upcoming Samsung flagship device.
