There had been a number of rumors suggesting Samsung would unveil their first smartphone of 2018 at the Consumer Electronics Show but as revealed by us earlier the South Korean tech giant has announced the new version of Galaxy A8 (2018) having infinity display and dual front camera setup to go on sale this week.
A South Korean publication reveals that Samsung will be selling the Galaxy A8 (2018) in partnership with mobile carrier KT Corp. starting from this week in the home country. According to details, the company has started accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy A8 (2018) from January 2nd, whereas the shipments are planned to be kicked off on Friday, January 5th.
The publication has further mentioned that the Galaxy A8 (2018) will be available with a price tag of 599,500 won (~$560 or PKR 62,000) in South Korea. Depending on the carrier plans, users may avail discounted pricing. The customers may choose the colour they like from Black, Blue and Gold.
Its 5.6-inch display supports 18.5:9 aspect ratio and screen resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. It is driven by Exynos 7885 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The A8 includes a 3,000mAh battery, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
More importantly, Samsung has entered in the dual front camera setup with the launch of Galaxy A8. The device becomes the first ever from the company to feature a 16MP and an 8MP sensor setup at the front. While the rear side of the phone is fitted with a 16MP lens.
