It has been quite long for now of hearing about the upcoming flagship device Samsung Galaxy S9. It seems that time of rumors and leaks is getting an end as we have now confirmed news that Samsung plans to present Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 to be held in January next year.
We know the CES as a globally renowned trade show for consumer electronics where innovative gadgets and technologies are displayed every year. The next year’s event is planned to happen in Las Vegas, USA from 9-12 January.
An insider of the Samsung’s consumers group has revealed that the company is going to showcase its flagships on the occasion and has also revealed some confirmed features.
Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+
Reportedly, the duo of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will feature the same 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity displays respectively as we’ve seen for the Galaxy S8 and S8+. It doesn’t mean that we are going to see a replica of the 2017 Galaxy models as a number of additions and upgradations are expected to happen making the S9 family a superb addition to Galaxy line-up.
What we can share with you are the information shared by anonymous sources claiming that the S9+ will have 6GB RAM as compared to that of 4GB in case ofS9. Moreover the Galaxy S9+ will also feature an additional rear camera. However, both models are expected to have 64GB of internal storage, microSD slots for additional storage and 3.5mm headphone jacks.
Despite the fact that the camera configuration will possibly vary on the phones, the camera will be placed above the fingerprint sensor on the back of both phones. This should make the fingerprint sensor easier to reach than it was on earlier Galaxy phones. The S9 family is also expected to come with AKG-branded stereo speakers.
What else, the South Korean tech giant will also launch a new DeX docking station that can be used for older models, though. It will enable phones to lay flat and turn their screens into a touchpad or a virtual keyboard.
