Samsung has just unveiled an entry level budget smartphone with brand name of Galaxy J2 2017. Although Samsung has added 2017 to the model name but there is nothing like any addition to the Galaxy J2 2016 version; rather there are bit downgrades, however.

The Galaxy J2 2017 has the same design and outlook as its predecessor had two years earlier that is J2 2015. There is the same 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540) Super AMOLED display at the front with no fingerprint sensor that has become integral part of several budget smartphones available in Pakistani market.

Samsung has made the J2 2017 as the dual SIM supported device by default having 4G connectivity as the only plus. The device is powered by the Samsung Exynos 3475, quad-core 1.3 GHz processor. It has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, nothing has changed on that front.

On the camera front, Galaxy J2 2017 brings an ordinary 5 MP shooter with autofocus and a LED flash at the rear as the main camera whereas the secondary one is mounted at the front having a mere 2 MP sensor.

A 2,000 mAh battery keeps the lights on for the J2 2017. No fast charging support is included.
