Sony is all set to launch their new mid-range Android smartphone Sony XA1 on May 1, 2017. The device was unveiled back in February this year and witnessed a remarkable response from the potential customers.
The new Sony XA1 will feature the latest Android 7.0 Nougat under the hood while Sony has brought an impressive MediaTek Helio P20 processor along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It is yet not confirmed whether we’ll see a card slot or not to expand the storage of device.
However the confirmed news reveal that the XA1 is 4G supported handset that comes with a 5 inches Full HD display having a resolution of 1920 X 1080p.
The most inspiring feature stands out to be a huge 23MP rear shooter in a mid-range device that will transform it more to the DSLR camera than a mere smartphone.
Battery will surely have a negative impact on the customers when they’ll see an average 2300 mAh power source for the Sony XA1 keeping in view the other brands bringing at least 3000 mAh for their mid-range devices. Although we have a smaller power source but the XA1 comes with a Type-C connector ensuring faster charging and swift data transfer.
Sony has started the pre-orders for Sony XA1 with a price tag of $299 (PKR 31,300 approx). The phone has impressive specifications and a price to match and it will be interesting to see how the phone will fare against other midrange phones as it features a 23MP rear camera that is quite rare in this price range.
