Sony, a well-known name in the Android market, has come up with another smartphone for the budget conscious customers – Sony Xperia E5. The handset is equipped with MediaTek quad-core processor for faster performance.
On the front of the Xperia E5, you get a 5 inches display with 720p resolution. You do get Category 4 LTE along with 2G, 3G as well as optional Dual-SIM support.
The smartphone comes with 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The back and the front boast 13 and 5 MP cameras, respectively, both coming with their own respective LED flashes.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS, apart from LTE obviously. It weighs 143 grams and is 8.2 mm thick.
Battery capacity of the phone is set at 2,700 mAh which is said to provide up to 2 days’ worth of average use. The phone will be available in either black or white variants.
Sony unveiled this budget friendly device on May 31 at an event in London. According to Sony, the Xperia E5 launches “across select European, Latin American and Middle East & African markets from late June 2016”.
The price of the Sony Xperia E5 has not been officially announced. But rumors from a source at Sony Netherlands shows a price of 199 EUR, which comes out to about $220 and PKR 23,500.
