We are in a state of competition among smartphone manufacturers to introduce innovative features; whether it is the OLED panels, notched design, full-screen displays, in-display fingerprint sensors or dual camera lens. Meanwhile, Huawei, the Chinese tech giant seems to leap forward and all set to unveil a device with triple camera setup. It is Huawei P20 Pro!

Huawei P20 Pro with Triple Camera Setup

Although the Huawei P20 Pro has been in rumors and reports for long but the camera setup remained a mystery until a report from got surfaced with the camera configuration of the upcoming flagship device. With this leak, one can say Huawei is about to set multiple records in the smartphone industry.

The leaker claims that Huawei has arranged Leica developed sensors in this fashion – 40MP + 8MP dual sensors embedded in the same housing whereas another ‘standalone’ 20MP sensor is placed nearby.

Huawei claims that the P20 Pro would be able to achieve up to 5x magnification via “Hybrid Zoom”. However, we come to know that the main 40MP lens comes with 3x zoom only but when it gets combined with secondary 8MP telephoto lens, the overall zoom becomes 5 times. Whereas, the 20MP standalone senor is actually the monochrome lens – usually the secondary camera in today’s dual camera setup. It is also learnt that all the three sensors come with apertures between f/1.6 to f/2.4.

Some reports claim that Huawei will also introduce a new feature dubbed as ‘Light Fusion’ along with an IR-RGB sensor and a laser-focus module on the back. Although there is no detail available for Light Fusion so far from any quarter but we presume it has something to do with better low-light photography.

Huawei P20 Pro – Other Features

Talking about other features, the Huawei P20 Pro will bring another 24MP selfie shooter on the front placed in the top notch having Light Fusion feature to be used for capturing vivid and dynamic selfies and making video calls.

The smartphone is also equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED panel with 2240 x 1080 pixels resolution having 19:9 aspect ratio. Although the screen stretches to the top of the phone but the bottom part has a bezel used to home a fingerprint scanner.

Huawei has used a Kirin 970 chipset to power up the P20 Pro along with 6GB of RAM. It is heard that native storage is limited to 128GB for European markets whereas rest of the world is said to get 256GB variant as well. However, a powerful battery pack of 4,000 mAh capacity will be there for all to keep the lights on for entire day.

Huawei P20 Pro – Pricing

Huawei P20 Pro is expected to cost around €899 (~$1,110, PKR 127,000) on its launch. Well, isn’t it better to wait till March 27th to get more accurate details? Therefore stay tuned!
