The famous Truecaller has become more worthwhile with the call recording features rolled out in the latest update. This has been one of the most important features Truecaller was lacking with.

However, Android users can now record both incoming and outgoing calls with this handy feature while iPhone users will have to wait a bit more.

Not to mention that the Truecaller is an all-in-one app for messages or making phone calls, but most importantly it can tell you the name of the person calling you from an anonymous number.

Whenever someone makes a call on your phone and his/her number is not saved in your phone contacts, Truecaller displays their name and location (if it’s saved on their servers). It even helps filter out blacklisted spam calls and lets you block anyone’s number as well.

How Truecaller Call Recording Feature Works

Every time you make a call, the app would bring up a prompt asking you whether to record the call or not. Pressing ‘Yes’ means that the call would be recorded and will be saved in the internal storage.

Likewise, you’ll be asked the same whenever you receive a call. The recorded conversations will be saved in the user’s phone. Truecaller says that the calls will not be saved in the company’s systems.

Unfortunately, the call recording feature is only available for the Truecaller premium version that brings a premium badge over users’ Truecaller ID and lets users know who viewed their profile on Truecaller. However, trial/non-premium users can use the feature for 14 days.

Considering the fact that there are a bunch of free apps on Play Store offering call recording features, it would be really tough for Truecaller to sell the same functionality. However, it may be considered as a handy option for being the all-in-one app solution with a better and no ads.

You can upgrade to Truecaller premium for paying PKR 106 for one month or PKR 900 for one year period.
