Vivo is all set to hold an unveil event on June 12th to announce the Vivo NEX smartphone that is reportedly equipped with half screen fingerprint scanner and pop-up selfie camera like the one seen on Vivo APEX concept phone earlier this year. The Chinese manufacturer has now released a new teaser on its official Weibo account that confirms the presence of pop up selfie camera on the NEX.
Apparently, Vivo has made it clear with the recent teaser that how the front camera of the phone will offer a redefined photography experience. The teaser does not display the front camera of the Vivo NEX on the upper bezel arear like the conventional smartphones do. Instead, the sensor is hidden in the top bezel and it comes up automatically when a user selects the front-facing camera option inside the camera. When not required, the pop-up camera can hide inside the top bezel.
The Vivo NEX is expected to arrive in multiple variants like Vivo NEX, Vivo NEX S and Vivo NEX A, as spotted on the website of China’s 3C body. It is speculated that the NEX A edition could be a China-exclusive variant while the other models may release in markets outside of China.
However, none of these models will feature notched display like other Vivo phones such as Vivo X21 or Vivo V9. Whereas, it is claimed that the full screen display of Vivo NEX smartphone will deliver nearly 91 percent of screen-to-body ratio.
