Vivo – a renowned smartphone brand from China has just added another budget category device to its lineup. The new entrant is named as Vivo Y81 that adopts a design similar to the Vivo Y83 which was announced a couple of weeks ago as the first Helio P22-powered phone.
Vivo Y81 – Features
Vivo Y81 brings a larger display measuring 6.22-inch in size having HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. Interestingly, Vivo has introduced the trendy iPhone X-like notch and a bezel-less design on the front along with Gorilla Glass protection on top.
The Vivo Y81 is a dual SIM supported device by default that gets powered by a MediaTek MT6762 (Helio P22) processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The processor is backed by 3GB of RAM and there is 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The photography department of Vivo Y81 sports a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash on the rear while the front is equipped with a 5MP selfie camera with a f/2.2 aperture.
The vivo Y81 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with FunTouch OS 4.0 lying on the top. The device gets fuelled by a 3260mAh battery unit that seems feasible keeping in view the internals and performance standards. Connectivity options on the Vivo Y81 include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11 (2.4GHz), GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Vivo Y81 – Pricing and Availability
Vivo has exclusively launched the Y81 in Vietnam with two color options to choose from Black and Red. The device is currently available at FPTShop carrying price tag of VND 4,990,000 (~$218, PKR 26,500).
The Vivo Y81 is likely to hit other countries including Pakistan very soon as it has received certification in China, Malaysia, Thailand, other Asian markets and even Europe.
